So I am about 95% Raw, vegan, fruitarian, seedian, rabbit or whatever you want to call me. I'm concious of what I put in my body and the results upon my body, beyond all else I want to be free of pain and fear of disease. Now that I understand the body and grasp my potentials I realize that theres no better time than today, theres no reason but yourself (time to be selfish) and the reasons never end. Simply use your guts and heart before your stomach and mind. Bitter flavors activate the liver which always needs more attention! The liver proccesses all kinds of toxins and bodily waste like hormones and food. When the liver doesnt operate properly the whole body becomes constipated, starting with the bowels.
Now what I am getting at is that I don't care if you only eat 10% healthier foods, just like neither does your doctor, friends, children or mother in most cases. So it is ultimately up to you! If you can start making tea to substitute for coffee or soda and even water or store bought juices. The better you eat the better you will feel and the less bad food you ingest the better you feel, this seems obvious but it's addiction and social lifestyle commonality we are up against besides your anti-will.
So what, I dont wanna be healthy you say? I don't want to live longer being old and weak you say? Well what I am talking about enjoying your life today!

Foods cooked above 115 degrees lose much of their nutritional value and are less healthy or even harmful to the body. This is primarily because the enzymes in the foods, that aid in digestion and have other nutritional values, are cooked away when heated above 115 °F.

Typical foods for a raw vegan diet include fruit, vegetables, sprouted nuts, seeds, grains and legumes. Eating this way will not lack you of any protein, B12 or any other nourishment a good example for raw food fitness is Mac Danzig A UFC vegan.

Why eat raw food?

For millions of years, humans had only the senses to rely on in selecting food. Once guided to eat fruit by our ability to see colors against a contrast of green, smell enticing fragrances and taste sweetness. During those millions of years, our bodies adapted to our environment and became entirely dependent on certain conditions for optimal health. The closer we can get to those ideals in our modern lives, the higher the level of health we will enjoy.

Humans have been cooking food for just thousands of years. Nevertheless, our biological and physiological requirements were in place long before the practice of cooking our food began. We are damaging our biological heritage by cooking the food we eat. The result is plain to see by our non-normal health as a whole. No other animal on Earth cooks its food, and no other animal besides humans (and the animals we feed) experiences disease on the scale that we do.

Heat changes the molecular structure of foods, rendering nutrients mostly unusable. Cooked and denatured or processed food is less digestible and assimilable than raw food. Anything that is consumed that cannot be digested, used or stored must be eliminated as waste. Eating cooked food produces so much waste in the body that our four eliminative organs cannot keep up, and waste accumulates. It is this accumulation that leads to an overall toxemic state in the body and results in disease. Biologically-appropriate, raw food is almost entirely usable by the body, and provides all the nutrients that the body requires.

"Biologically appropriate" Foods are those which we are physiologically adapted to. Humans are a frugivorous or "fruit-eating" species. This is not speculation or belief. We cannot allow beliefs to guide us in matters of health. What should dictate our habits are the immutable laws of nature that are obvious and self-evident through simple observation.

Eating cooked or processed food, smoking, drinking harmful beverages, sleeping too little and not exercising enough are detrimental to health but there are other habits that are particularly worse. The practice of suppressing symptoms with medications and supplements. A cold, for example, is the body's relief valve for eliminating toxins that have been accumulated to a level that jeopardizes health. Taking cold medication causes the body to retain waste that it would otherwise discard by means of snot, sweat, phlegm or other outlets. To suppress any of the body's eliminative efforts is to subvert its ability to maintain homeostasis or balance and preserve your health.

Just eating fruit for breakfast instead of cereal and milk would represent a huge improvement for someone who lives a very unhealthy SAD (standard american diet) lifestyle. On the other hand, a person who is already eating a reasonably healthy diet might want to make bigger changes.

The most simple part of healing may be the herbs you learn to be of aid to certain ailments, while these are very effective and safe there is much more to gaining optimal health. You have to change your life in ways that go beyond even eating habits. Your exercise and sleep habits, personal hygiene, social outlets, forms of recreation and even possibly your profession, among many other parts of your life, anything may become subject to re-evaluation and change if optimal health is what you desire.

Health improvements from diet may not happen quickly. In the beginning it may not seem equal to the work required. Healing happens at different rates for everyone, it can sometimes be slow. Patience and cooperation are the order of the day. Our bodies are under no obligation to reward our efforts with instant healing.

Going raw is worth the effort in the end if you see it through. Until you have experienced them, the benefits defy your imagination. No disease, no fear of disease, clear thinking, deep sleep, balanced emotions, rational judgement, loads of energy, a strong/youthful body, clear eyesight, increased self-confidence and self-awareness, heightened senses, smooth skin, healthy sexual function and the knowledge that you will be independent and active into your old age with happy and healthy offspring.

The level of health that most people experience on average is such that doctors are quite happy to pronounce a person "healthy" simply if s/he is not exhibiting symptoms. Good health is not merely the absence of symptoms, it is vibrant, robust health that produces such radical improvements in physical, emotional, and mental well-being that it will become apparent that what is experienced by most people is not good health at all. It becomes a joy to live according to your body's actual needs once you have experienced these profound changes. Perfect health is not only possible, it is the natural birthright of every species on Earth, including humans!

Salad Dressings: For salad dressings combine a raw plant fat with a sugar. For example, we can blend half an avocado with an orange in the blender and pour that on our salad as dressing. If we look at most commercial salad dressings on the market, we can see they consist of two basic ingredients a fat (oil, pasteurized dairy milk) and a sugar (high fructose corn syrup) and some with distilled vinegar. People love fats and sugars with greens!                                             ^Refined is bad  ^Bad^                                   ^Worse?^                                      *Bad*

Greens are proteins, Nuts and Oils are fats and Fruits are sugars.
